What a barrel water filling machine does
This machine serves 3- and 5-gallon (18.9 L) barrels used by water depots. It de-caps, brushes and rinses the barrel inside and out, fills by volumetric or timed flow, caps and bags — a full barrel line in sequence, usually with an automatic cap splitter and washer ahead of filling.
Typical configuration
Common modules: de-capper, rotary barrel washer with internal brush and high-pressure rinse, filling station with drip-free valves, capping head, and light inspection before bagging. Barrels travel on a stainless conveyor; used barrels are visually checked on the way in, because a damaged barrel cannot be cleaned properly.
Suitable containers
Standard 18.9 L PC barrels and 3-gallon sizes. Barrel condition matters more than bottle condition in this business — a rotation and inspection policy for barrels is part of the line's hygiene, not just a plant policy.
Selection considerations
Output is set by how many barrels your depot delivers per hour at peak. Depots typically start small and add filling heads as volume grows. Because barrels are heavy, plan the conveyor height and loading method around your staff, not around the machine.
