What water treatment equipment does
Water treatment is the part of the plant that decides what your product actually is. A treatment train takes source water through filtration, softening or RO, disinfection and polishing so the filler receives water that matches your product's specification — purified, mineral-profiled or prepared for flavoring.
Typical train
Raw water tank → sand and carbon filtration → softener (if needed) → precision or RO membranes → UV or ozone disinfection → product tank. The exact train follows the water analysis: two plants with different source water need different systems, which is why a treatment line cannot be quoted sensibly without the analysis report.
What it must match
Treatment output (m³/h) must cover the filler's peak demand with margin, or the line starves. Tanks between treatment and filling buffer the difference between a steady treatment rate and a cyclic filling demand.
Selection considerations
Membrane systems need pre-treatment matched to your raw water hardness and iron; skipping that saves money today and costs membranes next quarter. Plan CIP and membrane cleaning access at layout stage.
