What a detergent filling machine does
Detergent is viscous, foamy and sold in clear bottles — so the filling machine must dose a thick product accurately, keep foam from faking the fill level, and deliver a clean bottle wall that shows the product well. Piston or servo-volumetric filling with bottom-up or sub-surface filling solves the first two; slow-start nozzle profiles solve the third.
Configuration
Piston fillers with product cylinders sized to the dose, widened nozzles and cut-off control to avoid stringing, and drip trays. Wetted parts are stainless; seals are chosen against the actual formulation, because surfactant products attack the wrong elastomers.
Suitable products and containers
Laundry detergent, dish soap, multi-purpose cleaners in PET or HDPE bottles 250 ml to 5 L, with flip-top or pump closures. Foam-heavy products need slower fill speed and a longer settling time before capping.
Selection considerations
Send the real formulation, not just the product name: viscosity, foam behavior and any solvent fraction decide the wetted-path materials and the fill profile. Two detergents in the same category can need different seals.
