What a hand sanitizer filling machine does
Hand sanitizer — gel or liquid — is filled on machines built for viscosity and, where the product is alcohol-based, for flammability. Gel products need piston filling with string-control; alcohol liquids need flow filling with explosion-protected electrical configuration when above the relevant flash-point threshold.
Configuration
Servo-driven piston fillers with nozzle cut-off for gels; flow-meter filling for thin alcohol liquids; bottom-up nozzles to limit foam. For alcohol products the electrical cabinet, pumps and sensors are specified to the explosion-protection zone the plant defines.
Suitable products and containers
Alcohol gel, foam-free liquid sanitizer, and moisturizing formulations in PET bottles with pump or flip-top caps from 100 ml to 5 L. Small sizes run higher cavitation and faster cycles; 5 L jerry cans need slower fill and heavier handling.
Selection considerations
Declare the alcohol percentage: it decides both the electrical safety class and the material compatibility of seals. Viscosity drift between batches is normal in gels — weight checking at the filler keeps the declared volume honest.
